Position:Home>Performing Arts> How do I teach guitar?Question: How do I teach guitar!? Well see there's this really hot girl (Childish I know) and she wants me to teach her guitar!. I am very good at guitar (not bragging) and I play jazz guitar!. She wants to learn alt rock!.
I can play that too!. But!.!.!.!.I'm very impatient when it comes to teaching!. I haven't started yet!.!.but what should I do!? How should I start lessons!? What should I teach first!? Then take her to a concert or a little jazz trio or something!. Order dinner and talk casually about music!. It's a round-about way of securing a date without her knowing!. Maybe if she's insisting on picking up and playing the guitar you can show her some power chords and the start of base notes!. Show her where the E, F, G, and A are and have her play around with that!. Make sure you're "close" enough to help her!. Either that or show her some tabs and have her pluck away at an easy song like nirvana or something!. Easy chord progressions are fun to teach, like A to D to C to G!. Let her know that practice is important and she'll have to come over and practice twice a week, heh heh ;) Good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com Teach her the basics of playing the guitar with proper techniques!. Start her playing some easy guitar pieces and chords!. Find some easy songs near or in the genres she enjoys and teach her those once she has established proper playing techniques (after all, you can't build a house without a good foundation, and you can't build good skills without good basic techniques)!. As she continues progressing, challenge her more!. Personally, if you are just teaching her because you want to date her, I wouldn't!. Teach because it is something you want to do and can do correctly!. If you haven't had any time teaching, even if it is just helping someone learn a new technique, then I would start there more than trying to teach someone from nothing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com What you need to do is just show her how to hold the gutiar the pick how to pick and all that then the common chords, tech her the pentatonic!. and dont be like no no no its like this let her figure it out her self have her run through different chord progressions(easy ones) then after that teach her how to read tabs!. but dont go through it quick go slow because learning guitar i a slow process from the beging as you should know just think what you would have like to be explained when you were learning guitar!.!. what things were the hardest and so on!. experience is the best tool to teach for anythingWww@QuestionHome@Com |
