If you don't have a recording, you can transcribe it manually onto Finale Notepad or Noteworthy!. Both are free, and downloadable from the internet!. I'd also try asking a band director or fellow clarinet player to play it for you!. My band director plays trumpet and I often ask him for help with my pieces!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Can you try downloading or buying the song somewhere and playing it on something like windows media player which allows you to slow the song down!? Often times if I'm trying to learn anything of a song I do that and then gradually make it go faster up until normal speed and I can finally play it properly!. Not sure if that would help but sometimes it helps to play something slow first and gradually move up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Either get the help of a good clarinet teacher OR get a recording of the piece and listen to it A LOT so you know what it's supposed to sound like!. Play along with the record until you're in perfect harmony with the recording!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My choir teacher once had to sing "The Bumblebee" in her choir!. She said they had to practice months before they finally got every little vowel and sound right!. The answer would really have to depend on the amount of time you have!. Don't procrastinate, for sure!. If you can play another instrument or sing, that helps me!. also, you can look it up on youtube!. Practice two measures at a time, unless that doesn't sound like a good place to stop!. Then, once you know two measures, learn two more!. Once you know four, combine them, and so on!. Teachers are always happy to help as well!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
