I am confident!. But I have several conservatory degrees, and have been a professional performer since 1971!. I teach my students all the skills THEY need to become genuinely confident - not arrogant, but skilled so that they do not FEAR anything!. I just took 14 of them to a state competition - and they came back calm and confident - and got really fine scores!. Shyness and nervousness can be cured - but only with practice, and the knowledge that you have all the skills you need!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have found that it really depends on how prepared I am and what's at stake!. If I know my part very well!. I am usually confident but there are always a few butterflies in the tummy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
