The link doesnt work but, YES, you can put one although I wouldn't want to know why!.

If you like a guitar with a whammie bar, why didn't you get the Jackson !?

Anyways, it can be done, i do them all the time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I bought an old Ibanez AS-50 Artist semi-hollow back in 1981!. Since then I've had Seymour Duncan Jazz p/ups installed and a Kahler locking tremelo with the tuneable bridge pieces!. There were no semi-hollows at the time that came with such a setup!. My only other choice was the old junky Bigsby rigs!. I hated those things!.

I remember the luthier was taking his time to measure the sustain block!. There was about 1/2" clearance on each side for the spring block cavity!. I was fortunate this guy knew his stuff!. It looked like a factory install!. I still play that old Ibanez!. It remains my favorite!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I doubt you would be able to put a whammy on to a guitar built without one because of all the circutry inside the guitar and having to add the components and wires!.!.!.!.not to mention the hole for the whammy to go into!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

anything is possible!.!.!.but!.!.!.it just isn't very logical!.!.!.It would cost you a lot of money (or a lot of time AND money if you did it yourself)!. You might as well buy a guitar that already has one!Www@QuestionHome@Com
