Maybe you shouldn't be thinking about the fillers!. If you do, you may get tensed-up worrying about having to look impressive and any thoughts you may have in your mind may just vanish and not return to your head because of the anxiety!.

The key is to relax!. You do this by closing your eyes and slowly breathing for a few minutes while trying to keep away all thoughts about anything including your upcoming presentation!. It's much like "reformatting your mental hard disk" and "cleaning it's registry of errors" so that your mental "processor" works faster!. Sounds familiar!? It's how you improve the performance of your computer!. The same thing works for your mind!. A relaxed mind works better and faster (do this some minutes before you face your audience)!.

After a while, open your eyes and think about your fillers but don't try to force yourself if nothing comes to mind!. Be careful about telling jokes because people are not watching out for the joke itself but by how you deliver the so-called punchline or impact of the story!. If you're not careful you may end up with no one else laughing at your joke but you!. Then the joke's on you!. And it isn't a laughing matter!.

You should also be careful with your voice!. A quivering sound coming from your throat may mean you're nervous and unsure of yourself!. People don't want a speaker who's unsure about what it is he's talking about!. Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
