I was in the marching band in High School -- 14+ years ago!. Yes I do respect and like them!. Some people don't realize how much hard work and dedication it takes to do the shows that they perform!. Bravo!Www@QuestionHome@Com

My daughter is in the marching band!. She plays oboe and oboes don't march so she is in the flag corps!. Her favorite part is hanging with her friends!.

Her band director is very intense!. Sometimes he is a little too intense (not allowing the kids to get drinks on 100o days and getting mad if they pass out or vomit)!. That being said, he does run an award winning band!. Our band went to the Gator Bowl this past December and they are only high school! Many bands do not get this kind of an opportunity until college!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not really but college ones I do!. They put up with a lot (heat and the cold) and a Hockey game at UMaine wouldn't have been the same without the band there!. They were an essential part of the experience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yea im in band and well today i have tryouts for colorguard and im nervous and i only like band for the games miss school and hang wit friends at games!.!. I never played on sidelines lol i would chillWww@QuestionHome@Com

omg yea!! im going into high school next year, and i play french horn!. i was considering joining marching band, but i have a lot on my plate and i'd have to learn melephone!. but marching band is sooo cool!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think the personal discipline and the mental growth that kids in marching bands get because of their involvement is SUPER!.!.!. It's such a shame that many schools no longer even HAVE a music program!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes, i was in band and during the summer months i march in drum and bugle corps!.

I like the one's who play the Sousa marches!.!.!. military style!

I respect them!. I know some really cool(not nerdy) people in them!. Plus they are like the main supporters of your high school so that is also good!.
