Question: How can I get my voice back-FAST!?!?
I got a cold last Friday, and conseqentially lost my voice!. I've lost my voice with small colds before, but never to this extreme!. The first few days I sounded like a teenage boy going through puberty; I had absolutely no control over the inflection of my voice!. I figured that it would just come back slowly!. It has, but not quite as fast as I expected!.

Long story short, my choir's biggest show of the year is tomorrow night!. I sing in like 5 or 6 peices, and I'm supposed to be performing a solo!. I've been working for months on my solo, but when I lost my voice this week I decided to give it a rest!. I sat down today to practice, and my horrors were confirmed!. I can hit everything in my chest voice, which is a majority of the song, but there are many notes that I simply cannot hit!. I've worked very hard for this concert, and it really sucks that my voice is in terrible condition right now!.

Is there anything I can do to gain my voice back with at least a little strength(cont below!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Vocal rest is imperative; hot lemon and honey will help, and in a worst-case scenario, there's a product called Throat Coat Tea which is fairly miraculous!. I lost my voice due to two days of yelling at student stage crews (long story!) and on the morning of the third day I couldn't speak at all!. The stage manager gave me a cup of Throat Coat Tea, which I choked down (it doesn't taste nice!!) and within ten minutes I could speak normally!. The only thing is that it shouldn't be used regularly as it doesn't cure the problem, just masks the symptoms and if you keep masking the symptoms it can do permanent damage to your voice!. However, for a one-off occasion, like your concert, it won't do any harm!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
