How to create feedback?

Question:in the nirvana song smells like teen spirit he creates a long fedback note after his solo which he morfs and bends. how do u create feed back? i use emg's and dimarzio evolutions, i know that with some of the cheaper stock pups do that without prompt but how do i do it with quality parts lol

You need lots of overtones and lots of volume, ie crank your amp and turn up the gain. Physical positioning makes a big difference - ie, try standing in front of and facing the amp. Distortion and overdrive pedals can help do this at lower volumes.

There are pedals that will mimic feedback - I think Boss makes one. The feedbacker?

High levels of gain and make sure the volume is up on the guitar. step in front of the amp as well.

Crank your amp up and place your guitar in front of the speakers.
