Ive come to the last straw for my music career?

Question:here is a mini story of what i am and what i have done
I play the piano hecka good and have been told by numberous strangers who just so happen to hear me practicing at the music store that i am the greatest *contemporary* pianist alive...well i always called myself the best in america...
so i auditioned for americas got talent however i did not make it past the initial audition where u send in a tape....and that doesnt mean i suck it just means that once they found a really good person or a really bad person thye put em on the list and they just alreayd amde the list before they got to me =]
so im trying to get MySpace Records, however idk if they will do it or not

my question is, what record labels in San Fransisco-Sacramento area should i contact

and what are the websites for those labels....preferably major, but minor is ok....but no Independent ones please....thanks!

try contacting nine inch nails manager... look for a guy name alan moulder. if you are as good as you say you are you should get in easily with these guys.. depending if you like to play industrial rock.. and **** like that... i dont know the sites but google the names.. why i referred you to them is because they do really good work and the put peoples record out for free/pay for all of it.. so people get 1/4 album for free as a teaser then pay for the rest... they are probably the biggest thing to happen in the music industry so far this year.. and now they have robin finck again which was their guitarist then guns and roses guitarist(replacement for slash) and i believe they will do good with finck.. but if this sounds to crazy for you then fine.. if you have a demo tape send it to them.. or course you can start a youtube page and get subscribtions and hits.... and then record companies will come looking for you.. also i dont think you should try out for a record company.. i know in another few years records companies will have no impact on music.. the profit while the same artists who make them money plummet financially.... nin again has broken away just like radio head and are distributing music the real way...

Well your arrogance is why you don't have a career. No musician makes a career by claiming themselves "well I always called myself the best in america..."

You do? Really? The best? So you have heard every single pianist who plays professionally in America. You have won every major piano competition in the United States? Were you invited to play for the president in the White House? What have you done to think that you are the best. And who are these strangers giving you praise? Are they music critics, are they agents, are they professional musicians?

Probably not. First of practicing in a music store doesn't mean squat, hearing praise from strangers doesn't mean squat, your opinion of yourself as the best, it doesn't mean squat. Do you get the point?

You sent in a pre-screening tape and they didn't even accept it. Maybe you have a little work to do? First you need to be humble. No one, absolutely no one in music makes it when they say the crap you say. Success doesn't come from an ego. No, they didn't make the list before they got to you. Come back to reality man. They watched it and wasn't impressed. You have nothing to offer.

You play "hecka good"????? is that your claim or has someone told you that? Do you know who the top pianists in San Francisco are? Do you know Sharon Mann or Paul Hersch? Two of San Francisco Conservatory's top teachers.

You know what I could sit here and rip you apart based on what you said... but you know what, you're not worth it.

I have a career, why? Because I'm humble and patient. I never went around saying the stuff you did. All I did was work and people approached me to play concerts, guest teach and judge competitions. I never asked for it... I earned it. I never demanded it, I worked for it. I never said dumb stuff like you did and I never will. Why? because I still have lots to learn. I have more music to learn, more recitals to play and need to seek more advice from teachers. Did you know the great performers today still take lessons and seek advice from other professionals? why because they know they are not the best, and because they know they still have much to learn.

Those with success do not make proclamations like you do. People like you will never have careers because you already think you know it all and there is nothing to improve. Its sad.. it really is.

Man, how can you play the piano properly, you can't even spell simple words correctly. What you should do is quit just like you want to do because you don't want to earn the honor. Horowitz, Kissin, Tureck, they all earned the label of great pianists... they never asked for it. They would never claim to be the best. It is dishonorable in every way. You should be embarrassed and your comments are why you don't have a career or a record deal. no one wants to work with a pompous and arrogant punk like you. The music industry is about respect and you definitely don't have that.

Oh, and I don't want the best answer points... i just want to ream you out.
