"Summertime" (the soprano version) shows off the voice beautifully and is different from some of the "standard" showtunes.

If you're comfortable singing a cappella, you won't need sheet music or karaoke music (it also shows that you can carry a tune on your own!).

Look on YouTube for virtually any song and you'll find it! Also good because you can listen to many different versions.

You could do something more standard, such as "On My Own" from Les Miserables (actually there a several good soprano songs in Les Mis) or even "I don't know how to love him" from Jesus Christ Superstar.

Good luck with your audition! When is it? If you can, post and let us know how it went!! What are you auditioning for?

Over the Rainbow.

Everyone knows it.
And it shows off voices.

Use a song you already know and like. That way you'll sound your best. The song itself is less important than your presentation of it. If you're comfortable and confident then you'll come across like a pro. The way to be comfortable and confident is to do a song you already know and like.

What's your favorite song to sing? Use that song.

Any song suggested here will have been heard a hundred times. Your favorite will be fresh to their ears and sincere.

Good luck!

How about -

Wishing you were somehoe hear again
Heaven help my heart
All at once

Does it have to be a song from musical theater?

Stuff from le mis is always a hit if your a strong soprano!

Good luck!

It's always better to choose an easier song you know well than to pick something harder which you don't know. Singing isn't just about the sound of your voice, it's also about the expression and feeling which comes along with it. It's far easier to be expressive when you're not worrying over the words or notes you're singing.

All the best, I hope you get it !
