Question:Is it standard industry practice to put character names in all caps throughout a script, or only when they are first introduced? In my experience, it has been the latter, but thought I would check and see as my friend insists that it's always in caps.

Hi there,
Industry practice for Film Screenplays is that you only capitalize the character when they are first seen on screen.

For teleplays (television show scripts) it varies, but can often be all caps.

I've never seen character names in anything but capital letters.
