I am in 6th grade, but I am the first chair flute way ahead of everyone else in my class. I will scan a copy of Yesterday by the Beatles [my favorite song] and attach it in an email and send it to you.

improv...no one will know the difference.

yes no

agree with post number 1

I don't have any ideas but I was in concert band and I really enjoyed it. Good luck.

I play flute but I am in the 12th grade.
If you give me a few days I will talk to my band director and ask him he would have some good ideas.

you need another male and another female...or yur pitch will be way off.

Check out the song "Mary Anne".. it sounds amazing on flute.. i used to play and its not that hard to learn and would sound even better with a duet ! :)

the lyrics go something like.. alll day all night ... mary anne! lol

There's some ideas at http://www.jennifercluff.com/duets.htm

You need to tell us your LEVEL of playing. However, the most gorgeous duet I know is for 2 flutes and harp (can be done on piano) and is from L'Enfance du Christ by Berlioz. It is called Trio of the Ishmaelites . You can make a cut in it , if it is too long - leave out the middle scherzo. It is in 9/8eter, key of D.

This is a nice piece from Gabriel Fauré that was his Pavane. This is a site where the sheet music costs $3 for a flute duet: http://www.sibeliusmusic.com/cgi-bin/sho...

You have to install a program that lets you listen to the music as you see a cusor run across the sheet music. I think maybe you can try to download it from that, but I don't know if it will work.

There is another site where maybe you can get the sheet music for piano and flute for free and transpose the piano for the 2nd flute. Anyway, there is a midi file so you can listen to what it sounds like. When you get on the site, scroll down a little and click on the speaker icon. Good luck!
