In your opinion, what's the best Broadway musical you have ever seen?

Question:I love Broadway musicals but, living waaay out in the boonies, I rarely hear of new ones until they get overly popular. I'm curious to see what ones other people like so that I can broaden my musical horizons.

I personally love Wicked: clever story line, splendid and unique music, exquisite costumes, and witty lyrics. Some musicals seem to drag on but this one kept me laughing and eyes glued on the stage the entire time. I was actually annoyed when the intermission came! Let me know if there's one out there that captivated you as much as Wicked did for me!

I would have to agree with you. Wicked is my all time favorite!!! I also enjoyed Spamalot. It is hilarious!!! Les Miserables is also another favorite of mine. It has beautiful music in it. Avenue Q is also really good, but very graphic. Rent is my second favorite, only to Wicked of course. The movie was good too!

I love Broadway Musicals and my favorites are Cats, 52nd Street and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Those are my top ones I also enjoy Phantom of the Opera and the Lion King

Chicago is still one of my all time favorites. And of course the Phantom of the Opera, which is both a great story and amazing tunes.

wicked is ridiculously amazing...after the first time i saw it i was obsessed...i listened to the soundtrack nonstop.
