I would definatly say piano. It's a very fun way to get started on intruments. I am 11 years old, and i've been playing piano since 7 years old. It's very enjoyable, and you will definatly master rythem and tecnique. To get nice rythem and beat, I suggest playing the drums. They are one of the easiest instruments to play (in my opinion.) It all depends on what you like though!

i learned to play the flute when i was about 11.. it's pretty easy, i liked it.

flute or clarinet
i played the clarinet and i liked it alot

The best instrument in my opinion is the guitar.
But the piano is the best way to master theory.

It depends.

PIANO is good if you want to learn music well.

If you're looking for an instrument that's fun to play with your friends, the FLUTE and the CLARINET are played by a lot of girls (and are pretty easy to carry since they don't weigh a lot.) Both of those sound "pretty".

If you're more of a tomboy, a TRUMPET or a SAXOPHONE might be your thing. (Those are a little bit heavier, but they sound "cooler".)

And, if you're one of those people who actually like classical music, get a VIOLIN or a VIOLA. (Most kids find the music boring, though.)

If you can, you should probably talk to a music teacher or a friend who's already learning an instrument.

Hi!
Its really good to know we have so much active people around at that too at an early age of 10!
If you take my opinion then I would recommend that you learn to play Keyboard. The instrument has got a huge number of melodies and beats. You will soon grow an interest to learn. Apart from that there will be some self taught lessons that will guide you thru. And you can choose any instrument matching your mood for playing.
Keep it up!

i think you better learn how to play piano..its best for girls and its more enjoyable...for me its a lot easier to learn how to play piano than guitar..

keyboard.

I have played guitar for 18 years, and the chords, notes, and all that seemed like a magical combination lock to figure out. On the piano? they're easy.

A second choice I would suggest would be the bass guitar. It's huge, but you'll grow into it. It hurts a little more on the fingers as well, but you don't have to worry about draining the spit out of your instrument, getting rashes on your lips from the reeds, and you'll be able to stick cool stickers on your bass guitar case. No sticker looks cool on a flute case.

Drums is pretty easy to learn, you just follow the basics you can get drum tabs of the net and self teach yourself,10 is a good age to start. it also depends on what you like, brass, percussion or strings. guitar is also great but challenging at first when drums are pretty much simple to learn for your age. x
