Anyone play Bass Clarinet?

I am a clarinetist. I have played every clarinet in the clarinet family, and don't really enjoy the Bass Clarinet, Alto Clarinet, Contra Bass Clarinet, or Contra Alto Clarinet.

Why?

Their parts in the music are boooooring.

I like stuff a little more challenging!

I did used to think it was cool when I'd play the LOWEST notes on the contra, and it would make my vision vibrate!!!

Silly question. Well, I do think that it's a little stiff and has a low tone sometimes, but other than that, it's great.

yah i play regular clarinet and have tried bass clar. before but most defiantly prefer regular b flat clarinet because you get to play more fun and challenging things in an arrangement. the 2 bass clarinets in my band class always play easy boring stuff in a song which consists of mostly half notes, whole notes, quarter notes, and on the rare occasion eight notes.
