Position:Home>Performing Arts> What is some good music for a beginner guitarist?

Question:I wish that you would have said what kind of guitar music, pick, fingerstyle, chords, lead, or if you can read music notation or tab !!!!!!!! A lot of my students love fingerstyle because for a beginner it sounds very impressive.... a lot better then one note playing, or just the chords.... they all seem to like "Yesterday" , by the Beatles as a starter....it's in a book by http://www.halleonard.com/ called, The Very Best Of Fingerstyle Guitar.....it's in music notation, tab, and the chords. It's very easy !!!!!....and it also comes with a Cd. Students playing six months can play this nicely !!!!!!! Good luck to you !!!!! " Tears In Heaven " is also in this book.

buy an essential elements book for guitar and work your way through it. It will help you get good at guitar and then once you complete the first book buy the second essential elements book for guitar. Then once completeing that book you will be pretty good and ready for some really challenging pieces and could probably play any song you want to.

Try Greensleeves.
