There are four sections in an orchestra:

1. strings
2. woodwinds
3. brass
4. percussion

The strings are subdivided into:

1. 1st and 2nd violins
2. viola
3. cellos
4. basses

There are more violins than anything; as many as 10 stands to each sections (a stand has two players). So the violins play an important role, and the first violins sit on the outside of the orchestra, closest to the audience, at the left hand of the conductors. Second violins are seated in the section next to the first, though sometimes are seated opposite to them, on the outside, but on the right hand of the conductor.

Violins frequently have the melody or play important parts in the score, and the music is often very virtuosic, though somewhat less so in the second violin section.

the high pitch part and mostly the main part!
