Before yo consider applying to a good college, you might want to learn to SPELL it. JUILLIARD. It is *insanely* competitive and difficult to get into. Unless you are currently the TOP award winner in the arts at your HS, you have almost no chance.

Just LOVING something will not get you in. Your grades must be TOP, and you should already have a lengthy resume of legitimate achievements - All-State, honors performing groups, etc. - beyond the normal achievements in music within your own school and community. If you DO possess this level of skill - I wish you luck! One of my former students is graduating from Juilliard this May with a degree in French horn, and has been accepted in their graduate program as well.

It is easy to run college searches to find a school that is good for YOU. But be aware that even AFTER you finish a degree, there is not guarantee that you will be employed in the arts.

UNCG... but Juliard is the best... I want to get in myself.
