Acting???????????

Question:i really want to get into acting but i feel im to ugly, i know i can act and people say i should get into acting as im a little drama queen but like i said i feel im too ugly should i just go for it or forget it! Because i know that to get known u have to b pretty?!?!?!?! thanks

Acting is about talent, perseverance & luck, not looks.
That said, for film and television looks do play an important role because it is a visual medium. In theatre there is less attention paid on appearance, and in voice acting (or voice-over) there is absolutely no concern with appearance.

Don't give up on something before you've even tried it! Just because people say you won't be one of Maxim's 100 hottest is no reason to give up before you've started. And who knows, maybe you'll grow into your looks the way Lucy Lui, or Sarah Jessica Parker did.

I am not saying you are ugly, but do you know how many fat and ugly people are famous? I love acting myself, and you should never let your looks stop you! Just look at CarrotTop!

IF you want it then go for it...there is more to acting than being pretty. and u can make money in more ways then being on tv..there are comercials, voice overs, voice work...there are so many different genres that you can get into so go for it...Never resist goinga fter your dream because you feel u are not pretty enough...if its in your heart try until you cant!

huni if youve got confidence you can pull any role off no matter who you look like! and you dont have to be pretty to get known like look at tracy in eastenders shes an amazing actoress but shes not pretty! confidence is key dont worry about how you look!!!

Not saying that you are ugly, but even ugly chicks do get roles in movies/ televison. Sometimes they get big roles. Maybe you arent ugly but you may have a few insecurities like the rest of the human race. Never give up your dreams.... just keep trying at acting!!!

Acting is for everyone.

Actors need to represent all types of people and characters and enough producers and casting directors realize that pretty people cannot always be in the lime light for the best roles.

Honestly anyone who says ugly people cannot act have not seen Jack Nicholson, John C. Reilly, Martha Plimpton or Lili Taylor..... all legends, and proof you do not have to be pretty to be known.

If you are not attractive then people will look at your acting skills more, which means they'd better bet top notch if you want to get in.

Being pretty just covers up for being a bad actor....

try to stay with the positive instead of negative and you should go for it

don't be silly... do what you want to with your life.. don't let anything or anyone stop you, because when you look back you are going to regret not doing what you love. plus, beauty is all in the eye of the beholder

Try not to worry about how u look from the outside.It is all about what is inside!Have confidence!If its ur dream go for it!
