Position:Home>Performing Arts> If you get accustomed to playing acoustic guitar, is it hard to play electric?

Question:Not at all. It's much better for your technique to begin on an acoustic. Naturally, there are different things that you can start learning on an electric guitar, like bending, tapping, etc., but those will come with time and experimentation. For the most part, the jump from acoustic to electric is extremely easy.

not really...it will come to you

For the most part, it will be easier. However, there are some difficult things to do on electric that you just wouldn't do on acoustic, like jazz soloing. It's a lot harder to go from electric to acoustic, I think. But in the end, basic chords and stuff feel about the same or easier.

no that is what i am about to do too, it is just a different sound and more equipment and it allows for more variety of playing because there are more frets and styles of music that you can make with the adjustments of the amp!

No,
I play acoustic but sometimes when I'm at school I play an electric.
Feels the same to me
