First you need to tune your guitar:

I'm not very good at explaining so you're going to have to hold your guitar as if you are playing it to get what I mean. When you are holding your guitar the correct way up, the string closest to your thumb is E.
Then going down it goes A, D, G, B, E.
So

E - string closet to you thumb
A
D
G
B
E - string closet to your lap

To get it in tune you turn the pegs of each string to match the sound on the site the site I gave you.

You'll also notice that their are two E's. The Higher one is the one closest to you lap and the low one is the one closest to your thumb.

lol - I know I'm confusing but I'm crap at explaining stuff.

A good way to remember string names is

Easter
At
Drunk
Get
Bunnys
Easter

or the other way round

Every
Angry
Dog
Barks
Growls
Eats

Hope I helped because guitar was a pain when I first started teaching myself.

Good Luck!

lol noob. get lessons.

I learned alot as abeginner just by playing with experienced friends and they can teach you soooooooooo much just starting. Remeber it takes lotss of pratice and patience.

Try this website, I go there for tabs all the time and it has basic to advanced tutorials.

Don't expect to learn everything even at a basic level from answers. Just start playing.

Start at ultimate-guitar.com they have a ton of lessons and tabs. It's free that's how I'm learning.

Start by looking up guitar lessons or guitar sites on the web..or beginner guitar, or guitar lessons on YOUTUBE.... You should be able to find a starting place through these websites.. also, thier are videos from online music shops... However, YOUTUBE aught to be able to help you....

Find a guitar teacher and get some help. A little money spent now will save you tons of money and frustration later.

You need a tuner first of all. It's an electronic device with lights that tell you if your string is tuned too high or too low. The strings starting from the thinnest to the thickest are named after the notes they should be tuned to. Thinnest to thickest: E-B-G-D-A-E. The first string is actually the thinnest one. The sixth string is your thickest one. They are both tuned to E, but in different octaves.

Set-up - - - Tune guitar
Adjust neck/truss rod: You'll need decent lighting for this. You need to hold the guitar so that the headstock end of the neck is by your nose, and hold the guitar straight up. Do not hold the guitar by the neck because you will cause it to warp/bow. Hold the horns (the part where the strap button is). Look down the neck and try to catch the light along the frets. It should be almost perfectly straight, but you want to leave the slightest amount of "relief" - meaning the middle of the neck should "dip" down just a tad. Oh, you'll need some sort of allen wrench to adjust the truss rod (under the plastic plate in the headstock). Some guitars have "male" truss rods, and you'll need a stove pipe (like a female version of an allen wrench, looks like a smoking pipe) to adjust them.

Then after you tune and adjust the neck, set the action - the height of the strings off the frets - wherever you feel comfortable, by using a screwdriver or allen wrench on the bridge. Some parts differ on various models, so you may need a different tool for one then another.

Remember to follow those steps in order, and tune your guitar in between each step because each step knocks your guitar out of tune a bit.

Good luck!

Go down to your local music store and get a digital chromatic tuner for one thing. That will get you to pitch and help you to recognize the sound of your guitar in tune. Many music stores will have a guy who gives lessons in a back room. Take some if you can.

If you want it to be in drop d (heavy meatal rock some times has it)
Put your finger on the seventh fret on the first string and tunne it to sound like the second string

Tabs-

getting lessons would be easier then learning by your self but good luck

get it tuned first....go here http://www.howtotuneaguitar.org/

To play lazy eye: the strings are E A D G B e (thats starting at the biggest string). Hold the A string down at the 11th fret and pluck it 8 times.... then A at the 9th fret 3 times.....then A at 11th 1 time....then pluck A at 11th fret, slide up to 12th fret then back down to 11th............. Now pluck A at 11th fret 8 times.... then pluck D at 9th fret one time, slide up to 11th and back down to 9th..... then pluck A at 11th fret 1 time.....pluck A at 11th again, slide up to 12th and back to 11th........... A string 11th fret 8 times.....A at 9th fret, slide down to 7th and back to 9th... then pluck A at 7th once.....repeat

im assuming u dont know how to read tabs....thats why i explained that basic way to play it. once you start gettin it more you can find the full tab here:
