Question:I'm using a Stagg acoustic/electric. I'm trying to play "Such Great Heights" by iron and wine, and it says I need to use a CAPO ON 6TH FRET.

How do I do that? I have a Capo, but I don't understand how it's supposed to be used.

magic, just align it slowly making sure it is parallel to the fret, and then clamp it down. this will raise the pitch 3 steps, because if you think of each fret as a half step 2 frets is a whole.

Attach the capo to the 6th fret, then play as if the capo was the bridge, and the 7th fret would be the first fret now.

It just changes the key for you. As for how to use it...quite literally, just squeeze it so it opens, then put it across the 6th fret. Like if you were barring the fret yourself.
