Can anyone suggest a good clarinet mouthpiece and ligature upgrade?

Question:Basically, I need to upgrade my mouthpiece and ligature to get a better sound (according to my teacher.)

I prefer the Hite mouthpieces made of hard rubber and Rovner ligatures.

Try shopping around from well-known music brands like Selmer, Vandoren, LeBlanc, Yamaha, Buffet, etc. to find things that fit in your price range for mouthpieces. If you stick with mouthpieces that have a curved/rounded baffle and is made of hard rubber, you'll be fine.

I recommend Rovner because it's made of leather that distributes the pressure more evenly than plastic or metal ligatures and vibrates with the reed. They have lots of different styles and shapes to play with.

Also consider upgrading your reeds to Gonzales or Rico Grand Concert. What a HUGE difference in sound you'll get with those amazing reeds.

The Vandoren Klassik and Leather ligatures were good when I tried them.... great response, give them a try.

Vandoren B45 mouthpiece. The standard ligature fits it. It helps reach the upper register more easily, without having to tense your embouchre so tightly. It also promotes better sound quality in general, giving a richer tonality and more precise pitch.

Vandoran M30 mouthpiece with a Vandoran Optimum ligature. Works really well for me, but its a personal thing and a lot depends on your instrument as well.
