Cello to bass guitar..?

Question:so if you can pluck the cello, does that mean you know how to play the bass guitar as well??

Well, if you pizz on the cello you probably have some sort of callouses which will benefit you on a bass guitar (which I'm assuming is electric?) However its a different plucking technique. I actually find myself using bass technique on my cello, especially for jazz.

Not really. When I play pizz on the cello, i use the side of the tip of my index finger, and most of the people i know who play b.guitar use the tip and pad of their fingers.
