To tune your entire guitar down a half step, the strings should be from lowest pitch to highest pitch:

Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb

i play guitar in an alternate tuning,but never heard of 1/2 step
the mine is tuned is 1st E. 2nd B,3rd G#,4th E 5th B 6th F#.
I've used this style for 35 years.it really trips the Pro's when they watch me playing using theses strange chords
