In answer to your question about street performing in general, it definitely depends on the place where you want to preform. If you prefer to do your tricks on a public street or in a municipal park somewhere, it is up to the local authorities. Before I perform, I call up the township building and just ask them what the local laws are. Usually, they have no rules about it, but occasionally they do. A lot of areas don't mind it a few times, but ask that you get a license if you plan do go to the same spot regularly and repeatedly.
It is a little riskier to perform in front of a store or in a mall, because then it is up to the store owner. I would suggest (for your own good and out of courtesy) that you simply ask the store owners if they mind you performing in front of their store. Some may have hopes that you will draw in crowds, while others may fear you drawing away their business.
Above all, be respectful and courteous to those in the community. Most of the average people will love to see someone doing tricks on the street, and usually you won't be bothered if you are not causing trouble. Checking with the local authorities is a good caution, and remember: if they ask you to leave, there's always another place to go.
Have fun performing and good luck!

I dont know, but I'd love to see your magic tricks, you sound bad @ss. But if people have sex in public places without a license, I dont know why you would need one to do magic tricks. The best place, and quickest to get an answer because Im sure each town is different, is to call your local police office.

I'm not really sure about this, but I think it'd depend on if you're going to be accepting tips for your magic or just doing it for fun and experience.

If you're getting paid, I imagine you would need a license (since it's like a business), but if you're doing it for fun I don't think you would.

Your age would also probably factor in...

But since laws would vary with location, your best bet would be to contact the appropriate city government department and find out.
