Position:Home>Performing Arts> Whats a pretty [soprano] song from a musical that I could sing for voice lessons

Question:I'm a female soprano,and I want a not-to-difficult but pretty piece from a musical. Any suggestions?
(my idea of pretty songs are Seasons of Love from rent, For Good from wicked and On My Own from les miserables, and i like these songs a lot but i'm just looking for other ideas.)
Thank you!!

Depends on your age. I'm thinking you are young...15ish? The songs you are looking at are used to death. Find something different. "My Brother Lived in San Francisco" is fabulous. (it's on itunes) "Make Up My Heart" is easy and pretty. (From Starlight Express) "It's a Fine, Fine Line." (Avenue Q) Those are just a few.If i knew your voice i could give you more suggestions. Have fun!

"Goodnight My Someone" from " the Music Man" or "All the Things You Are".

I think that you should sing "Think of Me" from the Phantom of the Opera. This a a beautiful piece and not too difficult. You would just have to be able to hit some high notes. You could always adjust the song to your voice. I hope this helps and I hope you do well!
