Duets......?

Question:my friend alex and i want to do a duet for our school talent quest but can choose which one....he dose not want to do any High school musical ones...any idea...links to the lyrics and youtube would be good.

Check out some musicals (Phantom, Cats, Checkers, Les Mis, Footloose, Bye Bye Birdie, etc) and see if any of them work.

The other thing to do is to choose a song not necessarily written as a duet and use it. For example Wonder Wall by Oasis is fairly easy for male and female singers to work together on. It isn't hard to write or imporvise harmonies, and sometimes that is easier.

It also depends on how you plan to be accompanied. If someone is playing piano or guitar for you that really limits what you can do. Finding backing tracks can be an interesting task too. Talk to you music teacher and see if they have any resources you can use (they will probably also be able to give you better advice too cause they know your range, ability, interests, etc.)
