Question:tc= treble clef
bc= bass clef

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: tc= treble clef
bc= bass clef

my band director the other day was just saying how hard it is to switch. the only way is to first learn to read bass cleff. learn the fingerings for baritone. yes they are the same but baritone is a c instrument and trmpet is b flat. so just think. if you play a c on ur trumpet (open) and you play open on a baritone your actually playing a b flat. since trumpet is pitched a whole step lower than baritone, you have to play one whole step higher on trumpet to be playing that same pitch as baitone. example: concert f for baritone is open and is f. for trumpet concert f is your g. so good luckhope i helped

Learning new clefs is made simpler by the pnemonic devices created to remember the note names.
For spaces, just remember All Cows Eat Grass.
For the lines, it's Good Boys Do Fine Always.
(the first letter of the work is the name of the corresponding line/space) Those start at the bottom of the clef, by the way.
Another way to learn bass clef switching from treble clef is to think of treble clef, but move all the notes down a 3rd, or the next line or space. For example, a G line in treble clef is the 2nd line from the bottom. In bass clef, it's the first line. Bass clef is pretty much the treble clef starting on G rather than E, and with an A line on the top.
Hope this made sense.

Take all the notes you already know in T.C. and shift it down one line or space. (So if your note is on a line shift it down a line, if it is in a space shift it down a space). That's it. Look at it closely and see for your self!!
