I need ideas for new lyrics!!!?

Question:OK, I'm a Irish/folk musician and I love nothing more than to write original songs. The problem? I am stuck on just a couple themes and I DESPERATELY need to write something different. I write a lot in metaphor, so I can use very modern ideas, even though my style is very folksy/neo-pagan.

Just start writing a list of words, all you can think of. Then look at a couple and see if you can come up with any kind of idea related to it, good or bad. Write everything you can think of. This helps jump start your mind. Also, get a really good thesaurus, and look at other ideas for common words.

how about leaving someone in a fantasy land and saying how you have to leave.???
