Position:Home>Performing Arts> I have to play a guitar song for a class. which is a easy one where i dont have

Question:This is very easy piece, it's called, Canon, by Johann Pachelbel, it's played fingerstyle, you didn't mention in what style that you wanted to play this, chords, pick, or just strumming, so I gave you the fingerstyle, it sounds best played this way...... it's in a book called Mel Bay's Guitar Classics in Tab..... ( http://www.melbay.com/ ) It has the fingerstyle in music notation and tab....it's very easy. This is a very popular song right now, but most are playing it rock and roll style, go on youtube and you'll see all these teens playing it....but it's usually played slow....One student that I had played played this after only playing for six months.....You can get this book on Mel Bays site, or order or buy it from a music store.....good luck to you.....and by the way, there are no words to this piece !!!!!!!! Another song is Yesterday by the Beatles, I know that it has words but you can play it fingerstyle and just not sing the words, it sounds very impressive played fingerstyle, and it's very easy, I've has a few students tell me that, three have been playing less then a year.....it's in a book called, The Very Best Of Fingerstyle Guitar, by Hal Leonard, it has tabs, ( fingerstyle music,) and music notation ....you can get this book on his site, or call a music store, if they don't have it they can order it for you.. If you want to hear it played exactly like it sounds in this book go on youtube and type this, Peo Kindgren plays Yesterday by the Beatles.....it looks difficult to play but once you play it you'll see that it's not. Well good luck to you !!!!!!!

well, if you want a beginner song, just something like alouttete. if you want a more complex song that doesn't have any singing, you could smoke on the water and not sing.

Yesterday by the Beatles, there is a version for guitar where you play the melody and harmony together and is pretty easy
