Yes it's very possiable that you have what they call perfect pitch.....I just read a book called Hillary and Jackie, the book was great, the movie was terriable....Jackie was a very famous cello player, at five she heard that sound on the radio and said to her Mother, Mommie I want to make that sound, her Mother bought her that cello and in a couple of months was able to play beautifuly, the first teacher she had, Bill Pleeth was amazed at her ability, her would give her a concerto to look over for the next weeks lesson and she would come back the following week and know the whole concerto by heart, amazing !!!!!....and months later was winning prizes for her playing, and she did this all throught her teens, then all the world top celloest were taking her on wanting to give her master classes, which she really didn't need, it was like she was born knowing how to play. Maybe your a musical prodigy and didn't realize this because you've never played before, I wonder how many people are genius and we never know because they never were giving the chance when they were young !!!!!!!! As for you last question, yes, you can have a natural ablilty, imagine what you'll be capable if you have a good teacher !!!!!! I teach and play classical and acoustic guitar and this is no easy instument to play....it took me years to get where I am today, although when I first started I naturaly did know how to use my fingers especially the right hand....my teacher wanted to know who taught me that.....no one did I just did it !!!! My father played jazz guitar in the clubs in Philly when I was growning up but he never used his fingers, he used a pick.....and never gave me a lesson.....he read music when he was very young but over the years he forgot most of it...he basicly played by ear...that's probably where I got it from. Is there anyone in your family who is musical ??? Maybe even someone way back when !!!!!!!! You'll have to look into it. Well good luck with your playing, I hope that you don't waste your talent....and please get a teacher and learn the correct way !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, you can. But, realize that stairway to heaven is one of the easiest songs out there. Start improvisation and writing your own stuff...honestly, I find it more entertaining. You can play that if it's what you like but, the way to improvement is challenging yourself. Good luck! I'm glad you catch on quick...stay with it and see how far you go!

I don't know, I've never heard you play. I would have to hear you play something first. I never go on somebody else's recommendation.
