Position:Home>Performing Arts> Please help! 50's Songs fronted by Female Singers?

Question:There is this talent show at my school on the 21st of this month and we have just recieved our acceptance letters. The theme is the 50's and I don't know any songs. PLEASE HELP! 50 songs with fast or good beats, or slow ones (mostly fast) with female singers.
It doesn't have to be super famous. Also, it can be rock n roll or country or whatever.
Thank you!

Peggy Lee's - You Give Me Fever would be a good one. So would Bewitched by Doris Day. Or Patti Page's That Doggie in the Window - you could dress up like a dog or something like that. You should ask your parents or grand parents. They'll probably know.

look up Connie Francis, she was famous and popular in the fifties

The most famous was "Tweedle Dee" by Georgia Gibbs, a snappy little number that was the first time a black artist's song hit the charts in its original version, not covered by a white singer (incidentally, the white singer cover also made the charts...).

Well all the songs from Grease are 50's styled and a wicked fun to sing. lol
