Question:I have this one tuner, but I don't know how to use it & it just makes this anoying beep sound (are they supposed to?). I'm a beginner, and have tried to tune it, but it just isn't working for me.

I know that you need to have your 6th string in tune to tune the rest, but I don't have my ear trained enough. Any helpful advise will be greatly appreciated.

Buy an electronic tuner from the music shop and get them to show you how to use it. Ask them to actually tune a guitar in front of you. They cost about $20.
The tuner has a meter or coloured lights which show you when you are in tune.

This will have to do for now :

Go on google or something and search for an online guitar tuner.

It will play each note for you when you click on the corresponding string. They are really useful if you haven't got a tuner anywhere.

maybe this website would help you out..

when you get new strings, you need to tune them very, very often, after a while it will stay tuned for a long time. the beeping thing is a pitch that you use your ear to tune to.

you could try getting some pitch pipes!...or even using a piano...but if your tone deaf?...neither will work...you will probably have to buy an electronic/digital tuner!...good news is they are cheap now...
