Electric is easier to learn.

i just bought an electric guitar yesterday. i can all ready play house of the rising sun and some other stuff, it seems pretty easy so far. but i guess i cant compare to the acoustic 'cos I've never played one!

Electric will be easier because you can make more sounds with less effort. If you're really looking how to learn to play the guitar and you want to be a REAL musician, I would start on an acoustic and learn how to read music. Check out this website:

Eletric is easier to learn on, but it really depends on what you'll be using it for. I learned on acoustic and now eletric is really easy. Most people I know who learned on eletric say it's harder to switch to acoustic simply because they're bigger and the strings tend to hurt more if you haven't got the tips for it. . .good luck!
