Question:to be in a steel drum band? are they difficult to play if u have previous musical experience? & also is it fun?

hehe well when i'm in tech class that is all you hear.....they sound great! all i know is that they are pretty loud...i mean not as lond as like snare drum but they are pretty loud and cool sounding =)
