Buying expensive guitar?

Question:I have $2000 to spend on a electric guitar. I play mostly progressive metal. so I need the 24 frets and a good tremolo.
I have alot of options. which is the best?

Two grand? Lucky you.

If you really, really want to have 24 frets and a good tremolo then I recommend Ibanez, mainly cause I have one myself (an archtop electric AF75D). A Gibson Les Paul is no good as it has neither the right number of frets nor a whammy bar, although every guitarist in his or her right mind should want to own one.

Try the Ibanez S series, they look like your kind of thing. I don't know how much they cost in the USA, though.

I don't know anything about quality but as far as looks go you can't beat a Gibson. Or Dimebag's Trendkill. RAWWWK

get one with flames or something cool on it
