Do many practicing musicians keep track of the hours they practice?

Question:This was recommended to me, and I've been counting hours ever since. Does anyone else do this, or have any opinions on it?

many do, at least most of the ones I know. It helps them to notice the difference between performing with or without appropriate practice.
