heya, definitely take drama for your A levels. after school get some experince (if you haven't already got some) directing amateur or uni shows- you could take something to the Edinburgh fringe festival- would be good experience. Then, your best bet would be to check with any acting schools you respect to see if they have directing courses (I know RADA has one) and apply. It's best to study at an acting school than at a uni, as acting schools can give you insight into how actors work and you'll probably get lots of hand on experience with techies which will make you a better director to work with for actors as well as techies which will make people want to work with you. Also, acting schools can put you in conact with people in the industry that unis cannot.
