Any ideas for a possible screenplay I could write in High School?

Question:I am in 10th grade and am currently taking English class. As an optional project we are allowed to write a screenplay and shoot a short film. I am interested in this, since I have always wanted to pursue this sort of thing.

I have some ideas already of what the premise of the movie will be, but just want to hear a few more. I would appreciate any responses.

Also, obviously we don't have the money or time for CGI and fancy special effects for an awesome blockbuster movie...But any tips on shooting this movie or writing the script would be greatly appreciated.

I am a big fan of Shyamalan's work and love movies with a twist at the end.
