Position:Home>Performing Arts> Do you know any good performing arts camps?

Question:Stagedoor Manor in upstate New York. It's way at the top of the list, both in quality, and in price range. There are no auditions required.
If you're looking for something more inexpensive, I'd look at Walnut Hill School summer camp. It's a performing arts school near Boston, MA. You have to audition, but it's worth it. And it's a better price range. Still, Stagedoor can't be beat.

Jeff Daniels (the actor) has classes for all ages at his purple rose theater in Chelsea, Michigan during the summertime. I don't think it is a camp in itself but there is a campsite right outside of Chelsea. They have all day sessions for older people and teens.

crane music school in upstate NY, neer Suny Potsdam, its kind of expensive but worth it

National Youth Music Camps, Wavendon, Milton Keynes, UK.
cover all sorts of music, dance acting etc. Check out their website.

The best thing to do is to search camps online or in acting magazines. Colleges or Universities usually hold summer programs, which can help you get an edge when applying to those schools, where scouts will see you. Schools such as NYU and Carnegie Mellon have excellent programs.
