Vocal Performance Major?

Question:I'm interested in majoring in vocal performance or musical theater in college. What advice do you have for me to prepare for either one of those?
And how many hours per day do you think I should practice each of the following?
-dance
-piano
-singing
-acting
-anything else

I would say that if you treat your craft as you would a place of employment, you're headed in the right direction. I'm not saying that 8 hours of singing a day would be beneficial, but 2 hours of singing, combined with 2 hours of dance, 2 hours of acting lessons, etc., would help improve and hone your craft into one that is both professional and artistic.
