People used to dress up for the theatre -- tuxes and dresses -- but not anymore. Dress nicely (no jeans and T-shirts) -- suits, slacks and sweaters, dress shirts and ties, nice shoes. You can change out of it into your jeans and T-shirts when you get back home and are settling in to watch TV
