I highly recommend getting a teacher over training yourself - teachers keep you motivated and working. Start with piano, since it's one of the most used instruments.

Yes, some learn quicker than others and it will take work if that's what you mean by "hard." Learning to play any instrument is a matter of diligence and practice practice practice!! And if you are a naturally good singer, I think it helps. It has helped me because I can at least sing what's on the page to help figure out it I'm playing the right notes.

First of all, a piece of advice: start off with just one instrument. It's hard work just learning one. Let alone two. And once you've properly learnt that instrument, then you can start on another instrument. I'm afraid to say that I don't know any sites where to learn how to play online. It's not easier on internet. It's harder. Maybe you should get someone to tutor you or something. And if you want to know any lessons online just google it. Good luck =)

you really need a teacher!!!!!
trust me!!!!
i started with flute, then piano , then harmonica, then guitar !!!
learn something perfect and the others are easier!!!

You can get books at music stores which are really helpful, and there are some programs out there online that you have to pay for to learn, and some that are free and are not that good. I recommend either a good website that teaches, or music books. There's some things that you have to subscribe to. But I'm not for sure how they all work, I took piano lessons by an instructor in my neighborhood. I don't know how the website work, but I heard some good reviews on the guitar tricks. Learn on at a time, it's too confusing if you learn two. If you can get lessons in your city, then that's always the best because someone can work with you hands on. It all depends on what type of learner you are. Hope everything works out for you.

Teachers do help a lot. Unless you are very dedicated and are willing to practice for hours and hours a day to teach yourself. I got lessons when I started and after 6 years I have the same teacher because you can never stop learning. So if you start an instrument, I would recommend lessons, but you can do whatever you want.

Start with one instrument, and piano is a great one to begin with. Since you sing, another instrument should be a bit easier to pick up. Yes, it will be hard.

1. Learn how to read bass clef (and treble if you don't already read it.)

2. Find a good teacher. It's very difficult to teach yourself piano. Lessons are worth it.

3. Piano gives you an excellent foundation for music theory and other instruments. It makes everything in music easier.

Enjoy!!
