Lindo is just a brand name though for a stock far eastern guitar. The thing to remember is that beginner guitars are nothing like the pieces of crapola I learnt on 30 years ago and the choice is great now. Really though it depends on how many beer tokens you want to shell out - you can get lots of different guitars for a reasonable amount these days and if you were looking for something that would take you through the beginner to intermediate stage I would suggest a Yamaha Pacifica - you get a lot for your money with those and if it were me I'd spend a little more and get one of those. The best way to learn? Get an electronic tuner - but learn to tune by ear too. Get a decent chord book - if you are in the UK get yerself down to The Works or one of those other cheapo book stores. You should get a chord book for a couple of quid. Then learn a couple of scales - the minor pentatonic for starters. Set yourself a practice regime for each day and stick with it - even if it's only a hour a day. Learn something you are familiar with and like - but also attempt things that you think may be a little difficult too, that way you are pushing yourself. And play with as many other people as you can - us guitarists are generally a friendly crowd and even as a beginner you should be welcome to sit in with most people. Good luck with learning and have a laugh doing it!! playing music... On advice from a Guitar teacher was told to get a Yamaha. Dont ask me why. |
