How do singers get discovered?

Question:Like the young ones like Taylor Swift and stuff. Can you just send a voice recording to a record label and say "give me a call if you like it"? lol

try to sing / perform everywhere you can

Fairs, plays, churches etc

American Idol works pretty well for some people it seems. Hope this helps.

put your self out there and hope for the best but the young ones started even younger and show that they are what the people wanted

try to practice your voice a lot
then per form quizzes in your uni. festivals and so on
