Position:Home>Performing Arts> Are the classical Cinema days have GONE WITH THE WIND? What is your opinion abou

Question:I think today the blockbusters depend on special effects and don't do much with the story and characters.

There are certainly smaller films being made that are very good.

The classic age of movies is over - the days of rich dialogue and character-driven stories, although they do exist today, are few and far between. First of all, there is no art of the buildup - the movie San Francisco had the earthquake in the last half hour. Now you'd have to show it in the first ten minutes. Scenes are also shorter now, thanks to MTV.

I find movie plots slow down in winter (ie more dramas ) then in the spring you get more action flicks. As for plot depth there doesn;t seem to much just mainly sequels or shitty movies that are probably tax write offs.

That is quite a subjective matter. It is the choice of every individual to rate a film he/she watches to be great or dumb. Older movies are worth appreciating but so are today's movies. The two belong to absolutely different genre and you just cannot reject the impact present movies are making.

ye ders no magic now a while ago going 2 d cinema was an exciting experience no no one really gives a dam n alot of people are starting to watch movies on d internet

Movie-making seems to be becoming a lost art. They're all the same. Either special effects-driven crap, predictable and boring or just stupid. I think every part of entertainment, from movies to music to TV and books, need to bring in a new crop of people to create them.
