Everythings fine! Don't panic!

The alto sax is pitched in Eb which means that when you play C on the alto sax, it sounds Eb. All of the music is written a major 6th higher than it sounds, so when you play your G, it sounds Bb, or A# which is why it is coming up as A# on your tuner. Try playing your G again on your sax, and then play Bb on a piano or something and you'll realize they are the same note.

Either
A. the tuner is broken
B. your A# is extremely flat
or
C. one of your keys is broken or you're using wrong fingering.

check if everything's alright (no broken stuff, right fingerings... etc.) then play again. if you're definitely sure you're pyaing it right, then, it's thee instrument.

Your tuner is probably in CONCERT PITCH. A-sharp is the same as B-flat, which is the "standard" tuning pitch in high school bands. The alto saxophone sounds a major sixth below written pitch, so that means in order for you to play a concer b-flat (a-sharp), you must play G.

The G# key could be leaky. I would suggest you take it to your nearest technician.

HAHAHA no no no no... You see, ur tuner is probably designed for some other instrument which is on a totally different scale. I play the alto sax. Alto saxes cant be tuned. If u play a note on your alto sax, and look for the same sounding note on the piano, they will be different. Example: Maybe a G on the sax sounds the same as a C# on the piano. Something like that.
