Question:i just got a new ibanez rg2ex2 but the action is kinda high for my preference. any tips on how to adjust it lower ? it has a hardtail bridge i believe.

First, lower each string with the allen key at the bridge. Personally, as a repair man, if the actio was way too high,

1- I would loosen the strings,
2- REmove the screws holding the neck
3- Put a plastic piece about 1/16" thick , under the neck close to the back screws.
4- Tighthen the neck, tune the strings to pitch.

Now, this should have lowered the action . If, it is too low, you can always raise it with the allen key or lower if it is too high.

This is the ideal. Put 009 strings on it. That should give a nice action on that type of neck.
