Go to the Concordia College website and find Russell Peterson's email address...email him and ask him for his sax booklets; they're amazing. He's got all the entrance requirement stuff for Concordia in there, but even if you don't want to go there, it's great stuff to practice with.

My husband and I have both played the saxophone since elementary school (we actually met in the middle school band.) Anyway, we both very highly recommend the Rubank books. They really help with fingering and technique and we both remember those books very fondly.

I don't know where you can download it for free, but for $6 it is completely worth it. They are truly wonderful and if you can't find a teacher, these books are the next best thing. Our private saxophone teacher recommended them to us and used them in our lessons, so now I'm recommending them to you (Rubanks has beginner, intermediate, and advanced books.) Here's a link to the intermediate book:

This website has tons of saxophonist on it. There are college professors all the way down to beginners. I also believe there are some performing professionals. They have many topics that can help you if you can not find any then ask yourself. All you have to do is register (its free dont worry i thought about it) and ask.

Contact you local college that has a music program. I they have that, ask if any of the student saxophonists want to teach you. I would bet money that any of them would be ecstatic to teach you.
